Widow Sues Pennsylvania Attorney in Husband’s Hunting Death
Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011
The Beaver County Times reports a Philadelphia widow is suing attorney David Manilla for the hunting death of her husband.
The 52-year-old man was fatally shot after he killed a deer in Quakertown on November 29, 2010. Mr. Manilla reportedly told authorities he shot after he mistook the man for a deer.
The lawsuit alleges Manilla is trying to hide assets, including significant real estate holdings he transferred to his mother and sister a few days after the fatal accident. The widow is seeking an injunction to nullify the real estate transaction.
