NBA Basketball Team Sues Equipment Company for Injury
Thursday, January 13th, 2011
The Sacramento Kings are suing two U.S. based distributors and the Italian manufacturer of the Gymnic Plus Ball for at least $4 million reports news10.net.
The Kings allege the exercise ball caused guard Francisco Garcia to miss most of the last season and are seeking reimbursement of the wages they paid Garcia under the terms of his contract.
While the official reason for Garcia being sidelined was a broken wrist, the team claims Garcia ‘suffered severe personal injuries’ when the exercise ball burst. According to the team, the ball was being used as intended.
