The family of a 17-year-old who died in a vehicle accident in Enfield, Connecticut last year has filed a lawsuit against the driver, and the driver’s father, Democratic State Rep. Matthew Conway, reports CTnow.com.
The lawsuit accuses the daughter and her father, the owner of the SUV, of negligence. The 18-year-old daughter was under the influence of drugs or alcohol and was speeding when the SUV was hit by a tractor-trailer on Interstate 91 around 2:30 a.m. on August 25th killing one passenger and injuring another.
After drinking at a party, the girls were on their way to McDonald’s in Enfield when the driver lost control of the Jeep Cherokee on the entrance ramp and collided with the tractor-trailer.
