$7 Million Awarded In Texas Dog Mauling Case
Tuesday, September 28th, 2010
A $7 million verdict was awarded in the civil case in which two dogs killed a 10-year-old boy in June 2009, reports KLTV.com in Texas.
The young boy was riding his skateboard to meet a friend when the dogs attacked the boy. The owners were found to be totally liable for the attack by their pit bull mix and their American bulldog, and negligent in the way they maintained their property so the dogs could get to a child.
The award was one of the largest – if not the largest – in a case where a dog killed a child.
